well i had 6 tca treatments on one spot but my wart wasnt shrinking and it turned out to have developed into preinvasive cancer. my hubby has successfully had tca treatment for his warts 3 times now, they do go away but they always reappear in the same spot. hope this helps.

oh i almost forgot to mention, i find aldara to be a better treatment, at least for me. it was actually able to get rid of my preinvasive cancer as well as the hpv so to me, IT ROCKS!

ANy doctor that treats a wart 6 times without a biopsy is a bad doctor. uSUally if the area in question does not respond in some way after about 2 treatments other alternatives(A biospy on the area) should be done. I dont know what type of doctors are treating you out there.

my wart was huge so the doctor tried the acid multiple times, he suggested a biopsy after the 3rd treatment but i didnt want to do it b/c of pain. i finally agreed to it and he removed it.

I had TCA treatment and absolutely hated it. It burned and was uncomfortable to me. The pain sucked. I had numerous treatments..maybe 2-3. the last time I went to my doc I told him I just couldnt do it anymore and he prescribed ALdara. I think its way less painful but it can take longer.
