Need some Answers

I got a pap smear done and it came back normal so should i worry about having HPV? I have had unprotected sex with several people and i thank god that every thing looks ok, What I don't understand is that they say that since these days so many people have it if you have been sexually active with more than 5 people you most likely have it. I think not nessacrly because what if all the men you slept with never had sex with a girl who has it, That would be true right I guess it all depends. Its like so many people on this website are always tring to say one way or another I definatly have it.

just b/c your pap came back normal,
doesnt mean you dont have it, it just
means it isnt causing an abnormal
changes IF you do have it(not sayin u
do). also, you should check your
labia for any skin changes or warts.
the only definitive way to tell would
be an hpv dna test but they can be
expensive.

If you've had sex with over 5 people
than you have to assume that you have
HPV. What you have to remember is
that 95% of people with HPV will never
know about it and never have a
symptom. 92% of people who get HPV
will clear it after 2 years. So what
you should do going forward is living
life as normal and getting regular pap
smears like everyone else. And make
sure not to stigmatize any of us
unlucky folks who get a symptom in the
future.

just make sure you are also checking
your vulva on a regular basis for any
changes
