I had opposite affects with Aldara. I think Aldara does wonders. It takes a long time to go away, but it gets your immune system to kick in and get rid of them, making it less likely they will come back. I am glad my doctor prescribed Aldara.

Well I'm happy it worked for you but I'm in a lot of pain because of it. If it doesn't stop soon I'm going back to my doctor because the swelling is so bad that when I walk I want to cry it hurts so much.

i know what you are going through. i have hpv related cancer on my clitoris and i had to put aldera on it for two months, it sucked! if the pain is really bad and you have open sores, stop using it for a few days to allow your skin to heal. when it feels better, start using it again. some people will cut down to only 2 nights a week instead of 3 b/c of irritation. call your dr if their is any pus, it could be infected.

I've been using Aldara on and off for about 2 years when I have an outbreak. Usually it causes no problems for me, but if it gets on your skin where you don't have a wart... it can cause a pretty painful reaction. so just be careful

Yeah I had displasia bc of the hpv. I go back in a few months to see if it is gone. I only use the cream on monday, wensday, and friday but I still dread those days. I have to go see my doctor soon because the wart is bleeding on days that I dont apply the aldera. It's nice to have people to talk to about it. My family and friends don't seem to understand how frustrating it is for me.
