Umm, that's not a bad idea but before that it would be nice if we could get a different posting board of some sort. These boxes fill up so fast and they work kind of weird some times when you want to edit them. I think an easier way to post and read would be more helpful to the people here.

Well I guess if you had the technology, you could classify a post with a dropdown menu such as treatment, personal story, help!, news, etc. that way people who aren't on every day can sort what they need to see. Let me think about it some more.

I am in agreement with new classification and different reply boxes they are really hard to work with at times.

A broader 'Optimistic Links' section would be great. I know the links and other info that people post here should probably be moved to that area.

um also a BATTLE PLAN section for the HPV NATION so we can post the names and addresses of the groups and people that we need to be mailing and harrasing to get us some cure/vaccines! and a place to order HPV NATION Tshirts!

I was the first post but I wanted to say "thanks". You have no idea how much better this board and these posts have made me feel going through all this. I felt all alone now I at least feel somewhat normal now again. So biggest "thanks" to whoever is in charge!!

Actually, this place seems to get more traffic than HPVsupport.com...it would be cool if everyone here posted there instead since that has the actual message board.

I think that Battle Plan guy is just joking..I dont' think anyone is going to start an HPV army or wear an HPV t- shirt around town.

OK Maybe my idea of the HPV nation is sounds like a joke to some of you. And maybe I am joking I dunno if I'd have the balls to wear a T shirt or whatnot. But the fact remains Awarness needs to be raised, and the FDA needs to know the we are hear and we want a solution. When I first got HPV I was shocked. Then I was sad and angry. Now I'm tired of worring about weather or not it leaves the body over time, and all the other questions we have. continued...

But maybe we could figure out ways to push this vaccine along, raise money for studies to find out if for sure it ever does become non contagious, stuff like that. I mean just raising awarness about HPV would be great. Look at how many doctors don't know the ins and outs of it! I'm sorry but all I know is I'm not willing to sit at home and worry about weather or not tea tree oil works. I want to get to a livable solution. who's with me?

Maybe break it up- Im sure it would be difficult to organize the personal experiences- maybe a treatment page or something to make it easier to find an experience by topic. Maybe that sounds dumb :)

I remember when this section was just people's individual experience stories. I feel that it is more of a question and support board now which is good. I think it's better than the FAQ section because you can respond and ask more questions. Is this section used more than the FAQ part? Also, I think that it is important to have an actual experience board because it really helped me when I was learning to cope. Reading them helps to see where you stand in the HPV world.

It is easy to believe that you're really bad off when you first find out, so reading others' experiences is an eye-opener. I learned a lot when I read them, and I found that I was really lucky. Plus, you see that it's not just promiscuous people who become infected: even virgins get it! Bring it back.

I second the above -- this style is lot easier to read than the board at hpvsupport.com

No way, this is much harder read. You can't post more than like 3 sentences in the boxes and editing them is all messed up. Plus it's hard to tell if new posts have been added unless you memorize the number of posts in each thread. With the other board, hte posts with new additions float to the top automatically.

that's the dilemma here.. short and sweet.. vs more length message boards... this style was so users could get quick bits of good info.. making for easier reading.. im going to add categorization and improve the functionality of these 'add comment' fields so that they work better for everyone.

on hpvsupport.com i have the settings so you dont have to register.. so it's anonymous if you want it to be.. i think the fact that this comment box doesnt require any registration or time delay encourages people to post.. and we've had some great posts and comments.

yet at the same time.. without registration the community doesn't really get built.. since people are just kinda guessing who's who or if they've talked before.. i notice some people are using original poster, or the same names throughout their comments.. which makes me think this is lacking some features. i appreciate this feedback, please keep it coming, i want to make this the best site on the internet for the hpv community.

Definitely worth having different headings you can click on, like Emotional Support; Sex and Relationships; Treatments; Miscellaneous Comments/Questions etc. That way you can narrow down the info you want to look at.

What about having email accts at hpvfaq.com or something? is that possible? That way then people dont have to put up their hotmail email addresses. If everyone registered and we had an email directory....

Well the board at www.hpvsupport.com has private messages which if you login it's very similar to email.
