Question:

Recently,I got results back from a pap test & it showed that I have cervical dysplasia, which are precancerous cells in my cervix. It seems like I am too young, only 21!And what upset me more was when i went back to the doc,he said I have HPV!I must''ve had HPV for awhile.I don't have any warts that i've noticed, but i have seen tiny bumps that look like infected hair follicles. Could they be warts? I've had them for years. Is it possible that i could still develop warts?

HPV is what caused your dysplasia. I had dysplasia at 18! It can happen to anyone who has HPV no matter what age you are. Having dysplasia doesn''t mean that you will develop cancer unless you don't get treatment from a doctor. Unless you have more then one strain of HPV then you will not get genital warts. Some strains of hpv (there are about 30) cause genital warts, and some cause pre-cancer cells. What symptoms you will get all depends on what strains of the virus you have.
