Question:

How does the HPV strain that causes dysplasia affect males? I have the HPV that causes dyplasia, not genital warts. My confusion is-how does that affect males? If I ever am in a relationship in the future I would like to be able to tell my partner the dangers of HPV, but all I can seem to find out is about how genital warts not what I have. It has all been very confusing to me. Also, has anyone ever had to be in the hospital and put to sleep for the LEEP? For some reason I have to be?

From all the studies that I have read (which is more than I can''t count) I have only heard that males are carriers of the dysplasia causing HPV.

I have had the LEEP done twice. Once while awake and once while put to sleep. I much preferred being asleep. I am extremely afaid of needles and I assure you it was easy and painless. I had a wonderful anesthesiologist.

One minute he was asking me a question and I was drowsy, the next I was waking up asking if there were going to start - It was already done!
