Question:

I had an abnormal pap smear a year and a half ago and my doctor said I had HPV, since then one year after the original abnormal one my pap came back normal, then 6 months after it came back normal, what does this mean? Do I still have HPV and if so, is it contagious?

Yes you probably still do have it it is probably in its inactive state and hopefully your bodys immune system has checked it so that you will not get warts. Just get regular paps like you have been and everything should be alright. It is said that after a year of no break outs you are considered non contagious anymore but that isn''t really totally proven good luck
