Question:

Being diagnosed with cervical dysplasia due to HPV, will a LEEP surgical procedure remove and cure and prevent HPV/Cervical dysplasia from re-occurring?

i also had LEEP and used to suffer often from yeast. I used tampons deeped in neem oil. It has a strong garlicy smell, but is effective for me. Its supposed to be antiviral and antifungal. I use it for 5 days after my periods. So far i have not had a recurrence of yeast. However please note neem oil can not be used during pregnancies or if you are trying to get pregnant. Please read up more on neem oil before taking my suggestions

Leep will remove CIN but will not change your HPV status. Also, with CIN and VIN there is a 30% chance of it reoccuring. Keep up your paps.

I had a leep and the information I got was that there is a good chance that it wouldn''t recur (I can't remember the percentage, but it was good). It's been 4 years, and hpv hasn't shown up on my obgyn tests, but I am very susceptible to yeast infections which occur very frequently.

I''ve been diagnosed since 2002 when I was 16. Since then I've only had 3 clear Pap test. I've got the High Risk Strain. I've had 4 Colposcopy and getting ready for the 5th, 1 Leep and 2 Cone Biopsy and probably having a 3rd Cone Biopsy. I'm wondering if it's every going away. I've had the CIN III pap test and this time they said soemthing about the glandular cells of uterus. Anyone else had this experience?

No, I had severe dysplasia got the leep done got retested and it came back. Then I got the coneazation done, got retested and now I have mild dysplasia.. I recently quite smoking and have been eating right, taking a multi vitamin suppliment, and a folic acid supplement. I also heard that taking 400mg of Tagament three times a day for three months will work, I''ve started trying that. Now all I can do is wait and see.

The LEEP procedure is intended to remove whatever areas the doctor finds to have dysplasia. The procedure does not cure or prevent HPV. HPV is a virus and cannot be cured. The procedure will not prevent the HPV because you already have it. Dysplasia is an abnormal growth of cells which can develop into cancerous cells if left unchecked. I also have this. I''ve had 2 leeps in 4 months. Yes, it can definitely reoccur.

I''ve had a LEEP for cervical dysplasia and this wasn't enough to get rid of mine as the dysplasia extended past the specimen margins & now the doctors want to do a hysterectomy. But I have done lots of research on this and it seems that 90% of dysplasia IS cured by LEEP. However the LEEP cannot prevent dysplasia from re-occurring and it cannot prevent HPV.

Forget what doctors tell you and do your own research on natural cures for HPV like Neem. You would be shocked at how many people have cured themselves with Neem...yes, CURED. I was devistated when I was infected with HPV and had subsequent colposcopies and freezings of my cervix. It wasn''''t until I was fed up with my increasingly worsened condition that I started doing my own research instead of trusting these so-called "professionals". Traditional medical doctors are NOT taught enough in school about how the body works. In fact, Chiropractors receive MORE hours than medical doctors...check these numbers out...Chiropractors receive 456 hours of anatomy vs. the 215 hours for medical doctors chiropractors receive 243 hours of physiology vs. 174 for med. doctors. Pretty disturbing, isn''t it? In fact, Chiropractors receive 408 hours for diagnosing problems compared to the mere 113 hours that medical doctors receive. Yes, I was shocked too! So like I said, do your own research and don''t believe HPV is incurable! I am living proof!
