I have HPV and I had a leep procedure done a year ago.. well all my pap smears are coming back normal. I have only been with two people and im seeing one of them again. I was just wondering that since this dysplasia is gone, if we were to have unprotected sex could he give me this again?

if he was the HPV carrier and you have sex again, and it is unprotected, there is a very good chance that you will get reinfected. In fact, there is no "Cure" for the hpv virus, so it is always present in your body. Not all types of hpv will show up on a pap test.

you cant get re-infected. once you have it you have it. now you can give it to your boyfriend if he doesnt have it even though your paps are coming back normal
